Edited Movie Site Shuts Down

Online Edited DVD Site Closes

Another seller of edited movies has decided to shut their doors and go out of business.  In this case, it was online seller of DVDs named CleanplayDVDS.

As the receipts from the box office come rolling in this summer, family oriented movies, or those films that have no need to have the profanity, vulgarity, nudity, and explicit  violence in order to tell an engaging story are predicted to be big winners again.
R Rated Movies Receive Critical Acclaim

Of course, critical acclaim can also effect box office receipts and the profitability of a movie, and several R rated films scored big gains by being very well reviewed and getting attention in the awards ceremonies, including the Golden Globes and, of course, the Oscars.

Nominations for best picture for 2010 included R rated movies, such as, The Fighter, Black Swan, and the eventual winner The King’s Speech.  This comes behind last year’s surprise winner Hurt Locker…. Another R-Rated Film.

Edited Movies get a Nod from the Studios

After well publicized roes between edited movie sellers and the directors guild, the studios have taken a big step towards a more moderate, less political, and more capitalistic approach — They decided to release the Academy Award winner, The King’s Speech, in edited form alongside the original version.

Edited versions of the film played in some theaters and it is yet to be verified, but Lion’s Gate will reportedly be releasing an edited version of the DVD.  This is important, because, the movie, while it has interesting historical ramifications would be difficult to show in many school settings due to parental sensitivity over profanity which is on pretty bald display in one scene in particular where the would-be King is asked to use profanity to break out of his stuttering habit by his speech therapist.

Whether or not this effects the availability of other titles in edited formats remains to be seen.

Wait til its done processing, and then download it using DownloadHelper… Once you download it, make sure you name it “Name of your video.mp4″… DO NOT FORGET TO ADD THE .MP4 EXTENSION LIKE I FORGOT TO IN THE VIDEO!!! LOL….. Then you can edit your introduction in a video editing software such as Windows Movie Maker, Sony Vegas, Camtasia, Pinnacle Studio 12, etc…

DVD Rack Variations

A DVD Rack can be used for a variety of home organization related issues. The primary use of one is to store DVD movies in. You can also keep a variety of other digital media related items in a DVD rack. This diversity makes a DVD rack more of a general media storage solution and not just a movie storage solution.

The most common kind of DVD rack that you will find is the tower rack. A DVD tower rack is a vertical standing unit that’s typically only as wide as required to store standard sized DVD cases. It’s not uncommon to find them in dual sided storage configurations where you can store your media both in the front of the rack as well as the rear. They can be made a variety of materials. Wood, plastic and metal are the most common materials.

The wall mounted rack is a great solution for people that don’t have the floor space needed for other media storage options. Being mounted on the walls, they don’t consume the floor space that most media storage solutions would. They are typically mounted or hung using hollow wall anchors or screws into the studs of the wall. These are an options if you have less than 100 movies to store, but are the most easily “Scaled” solution meaning that as your collection grows you can increase the number of racks that you use.

Unfortunately not everyone has enough personal space to keep something like a tower rack or any of the larger media storage solutions. There are hanging racks that can be used to make the best out of the limited amount of space that people in those situations may have to work with. While they do provide you with a storage solution despite space constrictions, you have to find something like a door frame or closet pole to use to hang it off of. If you are a certified DVD fanatic, and is having difficulty with organizing your tons of DVDs, you should think about ways to effectively organize them. Take an effort to organize your DVD collection so that locating them will be easier and faster. Putting your DVDs in neat and space savvy storage furniture would greatly help for DVD fanatics like you.

DVD racks are usually recommended for storing DVDs. DVD racks enable you to save space and time in locating your DVDs, thus lessening your effort in finding a particular DVD. Storage capacity can extend up to more than 1,500 DVDs. Market offers wide choices of DVD racks with various size capacity and style. DVD racks can be stylish or casual depending on your preference. Novelty styles usually flock the market with designs such as telephone booths, fountain, and house forms. However, for considerations such as durability and space economy, wall-mounted DVD racks are usually recommended.

Aside from DVD racks, media storage facilities like cabinets, free-standing media organizers and bookcase shelves could be used to store your DVDs.
